Security
Network Security
OA Systems, Inc. abides by the highest level of network security for our clients. Our datacenter features a state-of-the-art Intrusion Detection System (IDS) that oversees all the network traffic coming in or going out of our network.
Our CISCO PIX firewalls are configured by Cisco Certified Internetworking Engineers (CCIE) who maintains a strict Access Control List (ACL) that only allows specific web traffic to enter our network.
Information Security
OA Systems, Inc. is dedicated to providing highest level of security and privacy for its application users. We are fully HIPPA compliant and dedicated to providing our users with protection of various threats. All the HTTP headers generated for our application are secured by SSL certificates for maximum security.
Third Party Access Security
OA Systems, Inc. works with only specific certified third party solutions provider for our software and datacenter. Any access to third party is evaluated first on the management level. Once management approves of the initial evaluation; it is the duty of datacenter personnel to do a security and vulnerability analysis for access of third party access. Once this analysis is completed proper adjustments are made through our CISCO PIX firewall to only allow access for the approved TCP ports.
Personnel Security
To minimize the risk of human error and misuse of the facility, security is addressed at the recruitment stage. OA Systems, Inc. addresses the security to personnel through way of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and contracts.
We at OA Systems are closely monitoring the HIPAA guidelines in order to be able to help our physicians implement them effectively and efficiently. OA Systems has taken the following measures to enforce administrative, technical, and physical security of the patient information.

Backup
Backup Server
Dell’s PowerEdge 1850 Intel Xeon Processor @ 3.00GHz; 1GB RAM; 300GB SCSI drive configured as RAID 1.
Power Supply Backup
Redundant uninterruptible APC Smart UPS power supply, 2200VA, 120 volts. Servers with redundant power supply with Y-Cord and dual cords are plugged into both UPS.
Our applications and databases are backed up on nightly basis. We retain our backups for 2 weeks.
In addition to onsite backup, OA Systems, Inc. also performs off-site backup to a remote datacenter in Houston, Texas.
