HIPAA Compliance

RxCure™ is fully compliant with HIPAA standards and regulations. HIPAA/ Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transaction sets ensure standardized and secure transmission of the protected health information of the patients. RxCure™ electronic prescription system complies with HIPAA standards and is certified By Claredi Classic HIPAA 4010A1.
OA Systems is HIPAA certified for the EDI Health Care Claim Transaction set (837), EDI Retail Pharmacy Claim Transaction (NCPDP Telecommunications Standard version 5.1 & above), EDI Health Care Eligibility/Benefit Inquiry (270), and EDI Health Care Eligibility/Benefit Response (271).

The Final Rules for HIPAA Transactions and Code Sets (January 2009) requires all healthcare organizations to comply with the guidelines by Jan. 1, 2012. RxCure™ will seamlessly migrate to the next level of HIPAA ASC X12 Version 5010 (for some health care transactions), NCPDP Telecommunication Standard Version D.0 (pharmacy transactions), and the Medicaid pharmacy subrogation transaction (NCPDP Medicaid Subrogation Standard Version 3.0). These transitions will facilitate to meet the new ICD-10 code sets and the ASI X12 EDI version 5010.
RxCure™ is compliant with both HIPAA X12 EDI and the NCPDP standards for billing retail pharmacy supplies and professional services. RxCure™ is also a Surescripts certified electronic prescribing solution.
